(5) 祈使句(Imperative)：實由強烈的祈願省略 I wish you may, 或謂省略主詞You，以原形動詞為首，用以命令或請求

Be a good student, John.

Be seated, please.

Please stand up.

Come on!

Awake, arise, or be forever fallen.----------( Milton 1608 - 1674 )

對第三人稱的祈使句：呼格主詞雖似第三人稱，其實對象仍是You

Nobody move!

Somebody answer the phone, please.

Everybody get out of here.

Anyone tell me what happened.

否定的祈使句：多半用於命令或禁制，一般以Don’t為首，保留 you 亦可視為否定句的倒裝，具有加強否定語氣的意義。

Don’t (you) be silly.

Don’t (you) do that anymore.

Never ever (do you) say that again.

間接祈使句：對第一、三人稱的祈使句，以(Let + 受詞 +原形動詞)表示

Let’s go.

Let me see.

Let it be.

Don’t let them touch it.

Never let it happen again.

My parents made me go to the cram school.

註 使役動詞之後的原形動詞，是受詞的補語，表受詞主動的動作。
