當介繫詞作副詞用時﹝介副詞﹞：
【觀念確認】有些不及物動詞須要結合介繫詞，方能執行動詞的作用，因此動詞片語含有的介詞，都具有副詞的意義。
1. 介詞本身亦是副詞(on，off，down，up，in，out)
若受詞是名詞則此介副詞可放在受詞之前或後
若受詞是代名詞則此介副詞必須放在受詞之後P
Put on your shoes.(正)
Put your shoes on. (正)
Remember to turn off the light before you leave the house. (正)
Remember to turn the light off before you leave the house. (正)
Pick it up. (正)
Pick up it. (誤)
2. 不能轉作副詞的介詞，無論受詞是名詞或代名詞，都須放在此介詞之後
True love consists of mutual cares. (正)------真愛是由無數的相互關懷組成
True love consists mutual cares of. (誤)
Where have you been? I am looking for you. (正)
Where have you been? I am looking you for. (誤)
3.情狀副詞修飾含有介詞的動詞，除了可放句首、句尾、句中外，也可放在動詞和介詞之間。
She looked at me coldly at the party last night. (正)
She coldly looked at me at the party last night. (正)
She looked coldly at me at the party last night. (正)
She looked coldly at the party last night. (誤)
She looked cold at the party last night. (正…感官動詞，並非動詞片語)
注意 疑問句中，介詞可隨受格之疑問代名詞前調至句首。
What are you looking for? (正)
For what are you looking? (正)
Who are you looking for? (正)
Whom are you looking for? (正)
For whom are you looking? (正)
For who are you looking? (誤)
疑問句中，附屬於受格疑問代名詞的介詞，亦可隨受格之前調而省略。
Where are you going to? (正)
Where are you going ? (正)
To where are you going ? (正…口語上，鮮少用之)
4. 副詞之前不可有介繫詞
【觀念確認】地方副詞和時間副詞中通常會含有介詞，但是有些地方、時間本身同時既是名詞也是副詞，若是做為副詞則其前不可加介詞，若是做為名詞則須加介繫詞‧
地方副詞：home，here，there，everywhere，nowhere，somewhere，elsewhere，anywhere, forward，backward，upstairs，downstairs，away，abroad，
back，downtown…………………
He goes home immediately after work every day. (正)
He goes to home immediately after work every day. (誤…回自己家不加to)
He goes my home immediately after work every day. (誤…到我家要加to)
He goes to my home immediately after work every day. (正)
He will go anywhere but there. (正)
He will go to anywhere but there. (誤)
Come (over) here. 過來 Go (over) there. 過去
Come downstairs. 下樓來 Go upstairs. 上樓去
時間副詞：yesterday，today，tomorrow，recently，presently，now，nowadays，ago，already， before，early，late，lately，again，forever， directly，immediately，afterward，beforehand，soon，then，every +時間，
next +時間，last +時間，this +時間，that +時間…………….

He takes exercise in the park in the morning every day. (正)
He takes exercise in the park in every morning. (誤…every前不可加介詞)
He took exercise in the park this morning. (正)
He took exercise in the park in this morning. (誤)

We will have a baseball game on next Sunday. (誤…next前絕不可加介詞)

注意 除this + day，that + day外，其他this +時間，that +時間，this，that前不可加介詞。
頻率副詞：(always，usually，often，sometimes，ever，seldom，never)
【觀念確認】試題只可以放句中，惟sometimes可放句首、句尾、句中，簡答時一律放be動詞或助動詞前。
Sometimes, we call on my grandparents on the weekend. (正)
We sometimes call on my grandparents on the weekend. (正)
We call on my grandparents sometimes on the weekend. (正)
Usually, we call on my grandparents on holidays. (正…修飾整句)
We usually call on my grandparents on holidays. (正…修飾call on)

Yes, I usually do. (O…簡答放助動詞前) Yes, I do usually . (X)
No, I seldom do. (O…簡答放助動詞前) No, I do seldom . (X)
注意 seldom，never具否定意義，ever多用於完成式的疑問句，always，usually，often，sometimes具肯定意義，always，usually，often若用於否定，只做為部分否定，其義等於sometimes。
always = all the way = all the time
usually = regularly = frequently
often = less frequently
sometimes = at times = from time to time = on and off = off and on
seldom = hardly ever = rarely = scarcely
次數副詞：(once，twice，thrice，firstly，secondly，thirdly，again)
【觀念確認】頻率副詞著重於動作出現的機率，次數副詞則著重於動作出現的實際次數，通常放句尾。
I go to Yangmingshan for a hot spring bath once a week.
