祈使句主動改被動：主動→(Let + 受詞 + be +P.P.)表示

Do it right now. → Let it be done right now.

Listen to the teacher. → Let the teacher be listened to.

Don’t say that again. → Don’t let that be said again.

   Stop fooling around. → Let it be stopped to fool around.(虛受詞it後須用不定詞)

進階觀念

加強意味的祈使句：(Do +原形動詞)具有「務必…」之意

Do study hard. It is important for your future.

Do leave off making any noise.

Do help me to send the letter to Mary.

Wait for a moment, pray, do.

具有假設意味的祈使句：祈使句 = (If / Unless you…)

存小錢才能賺大錢

Take care of the pence, and the pounds will take care of themselves.

= If you take care of the pence, the pounds will take care of themselves.

抗拒惡魔，惡魔便遠離你 (人到無求品自高)

Resist the devil, and he will free from you.

= If you resist the devil, he will free from you.

動作快點，你就不會遲到了

Make haste, and you will not be late.

= If you make haste, you will not be late.

動作快點，不然你會遲到了

Make haste, or you will be late.

= Unless you make haste, you will be late.

具有讓步(不肯定)意味的祈使句：原形動詞具有(無論，大約…)的含意

一大群學生在遊樂，大概百來人吧

A number of students, say a hundred, are on parade.

= A number of students, for instance a hundred, are on parade.

無論他怎麼說，我都不相信他

Say what he may, I don’t believe him.

= Whatever he may say, I don’t believe him.

兵來將擋，水來土掩

Come what may, I am not afraid.

= No matter what may come, I am not afraid.

祈使句的附加問句

Let’s go, shall we? (對象是大家)

Let us / them go, will / would you? (對象是你)

Have a cup of tea, won’t you?

Don’t do that again, will/would you?/, all right?
