Be動詞的假設句：以Be動詞取代假設句中的從屬連接詞If，過去式一律were，表示與現在事實相反，現在式則以原形be取代之
假如我是你，我不會那麼做
If I were you, I wouldn’t do that.
= Were I you, I wouldn’t do that.
給他當國王，他才會開心
If he were a king, he might be happy.
= Were he a king, he might be happy.
表示讓步的從屬子句although, whether, if , no matter, ....句中若有be動詞則可省略從屬連接詞，並以be動詞原形取代之，文法上稱之倒裝的be動詞假設句。
無論事之難易，吾必解之
Whether the problem is easy or difficult, I will solve it.
= Be the problem easy or difficult, I will solve it.
無論日夜，隨時歡迎你
Come again whether it is by day or night.
= Come again be it by day or night.
